Over a Month into Online Learning...

We’re over a month into online learning. I don't have it all figured out. We have had some really great days. (The camper has been a game changer in all of this)

We’ve also had some serious tantrum and breakdown days. Leaving us all depleted.

One thing I'm only starting to get the hang of is working around the constant kiddo-tech-support. The secret for me has been 30 minute work intervals. Is this how I like to do things? Absolutely not, but we’re all adjusting and figuring out a way to make this experience a positive one.

Late nights and extra-early mornings don't work long term for me. It adds more hours to my day and in theory, it allows more time to get things done. However, what happens after a few days is I turn into a cranky morning monster with perpetual bags under my eyes. My work piles up and I’m just in a funk all day. Not sustainable for me. If I wake up early I have to be doing something I get energy from. I hate mornings so much. Anyone else?

So the key for me has been prioritizing tasks into what I can actually complete in 30 minutes or less. (that’s how long I have in between each kid needing me) 30 minute drawing tasks, 30 minute chores, 30 minute meal preps. 30 minutes. Here are my 30 minute process shots for anyone who cares.

The parent struggle is real this year. This is hard. Adjustment is hard. You’re all doing great- how are you guys balancing life with online learning?
